A Few of Our Many Success Stories ...

Thanks to all of the money The Onyx & Breezy Foundation has been able to raise through fund raising and generous donations, these animals will reach tomorrow. No donation is too small, and 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to Helping Each Animal Reach Tomorrow!

Every day countless animals are placed into shelters or are euthanized because their owners can no longer afford to care for them, the numbers are staggering and the heartbreak is devastating. It is part of our mission at the Onyx and Breezy Foundation to help provide funding where hardship present so animals can stay in their loving furever homes.

Here are a just a few of the many animals we have been able to save over the years, we love hearing from their families and being able to help restore the joy.

"Dewey is a 4 week old kitten that was found inside a wall in Belleville, NJ. Within hours of a woman hearing his cries, we had the fire department in there to break down the wall and save Dewey's life. He was in very bad shape, but with hospitalization and a lot of TLC, he is doing amazing! Thank you for the good work that you do. I am humbled by your support".  With thanks, Amy

I am beyond grateful for the financial support and I want to express my thanks to the board of trustees for their gracious donation. Thanks again for giving Nike the means to receive the much needed care and treatment at a time when we really needed it". -Janel

"We rescued moxie about 5 years ago.  We had recently put down our 14 year old husky and it had come time to say good bye to our 35 year old pony.  Two very devastating loses in such a short time.  I always had large dogs, but this time I was looking for one my young daughter could cuddle with and find comfort in.  I combed thru petfinders and saw moxie's face and knew immediately that she was the one.  I don't know how, I just knew.  We drove 3 hours to the shelter to meet her.  And I was right, she has been exactly what I was looking for.  Moxie has an infectious personality and you cant help but to be happy in her presence.  Everyone she meets falls in love with her. About 4 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  During my Chemo treatment our Rottweiler was diagnosed with bone cancer.  Moxie knew exactly what she needed to do to get us thru this difficult time! I was heart broken to find out that she was the who now needed our help.  She was in heart failure and needed a very expensive surgery to fix her PDA or she would die. After all Moxie has given to my family, I couldn't let that happen.  Thank you Onyx and Breezing for your generosity.  I cant thank you enough for your help. I honestly cant say what would have happened if not for your help.  Thank you for doing what you do!  I am happy to tell you that Moxie had her surgery and is doing very well.  She is once again the happy little dog I have known for so long.  We are looking forward to many happy years to come".

"Thank you very much for asking about Lucky and for paying for his echo-cardiogram. I am do grateful that he had it because the doctor did recommend increasing his medication. His heart disease is progressing but that is likely and the medication significantly slows it down. Knowing now that he needs an increase is helpful in controlling the progression, which the doctor said increases his quality of life. He is my very best friend and being disabled now we get to share so much time together, even more than before and I am so very grateful for every day with him. March 23 marked the 10 year anniversary of adopting Lucky. I can't thank your foundation enough for your help."
Thanks so much, Leah Noel

"How can our family thank you enough for helping us give Tucker the chemotherapy he needs... Eight years ago, he chose us at the shelter by jumping in Jay's lap, licking his face, then running to a toy bin and delivering a toy to me. It was clear he had made his decision. We brought him home and promised to take care of him. In return he has given us unconditional love, has helped a friend's daughter overcome her fear of dogs, and has been called "the sweetest dog they've ever met" by everyone who has ever met him. When he was diagnosed with lymphoma in early August we were devastated - both by the diagnosis itself and by the realization that we had no idea how we could afford to pay for the treatment he would need to fight it. This year had already brought our family a number of financial hardships that felt insurmountable. With your help, we are starting to feel like we have a fighting chance. Tucker is in remission at this point, and is acting very much like the joyful, playful, loving boy we know him to be. We are forever grateful. " -Sincerely, Catherine & Jay Mafale

Because of your support and extremely generous donation Max should be home with us tomorrow". With extreme gratitude, Dani, Aidan, Max & Marley

Words just cannot seem to express my gratitude enough and if Roxie could talk I’m sure she would be thanking you also (I really think she can talk but she does sound like Chewbaca)"

"Although he never had a sick day in his life, it was recently discovered that Mr. Magoo had a tumor in his mouth that needed to be removed and biopsied. The Onxy & Breezy Foundation provided funds that made it possible for that surgery. Now Mr Magoo is happy to be back home and hopes to have many more happy years with his family.  Many thanks to O&B for saving Mr. Magoo's life!"  -Sonya Malkove

"I wanted to thank you for your incredible generosity and kindness. I'm sorry I was so emotional when I left the message but I was so moved by your kindness I just couldn't hold it in any longer. I love my little man and when he is well, he enhances my life with so much joy and happiness, as do my other pets. Samson has a feline brother, black as well, and he's 7 and just as sweet. My canine family includes Buddy and Cooper, my two purebred Black Labs, Charlie, my black Pit Bull mix (he's going through therapy dog training and I'm doing my part to change the perception of this wonderful breed of dog) and Chloe, my Black Lab/ Border Collie mix. My parents are no longer living and my dogs and cats are my family and keep me smiling and laughing with their antics. Onyx and Breezy were beautiful girls and I'm so, so sorry for your losses. What you've done for animals and what you continue to do is a wonderful tribute to your beloved girls. You're not alone in the grief and void you feel to this day. When I lost my old Black Lab at the age of 15 after acquiring him at 10 weeks, a beautiful black ball of fur, I thought the grief was going to kill me. I understand all too well the heartache of losing them. I've enclosed a photo of Samson before I said goodnight to him last night. Again, thank you and I will never forget what you've done for my boy. You've given him a chance."  -With love and respect, Marie, Samson, Buddy, Cooper, Charlie, Chloe and Clyde

"I would like to thank you for your contribution to Honey's cataract surgery. I cannot express my gratitude enough. Honey is still recovering from surgery but I can already tell that her vision has greatly improved. She has stopped bumping into things and tripping over curbs, and she seems to be much more active. I can tell that her improved vision has given her a lot of happiness and we couldn't have afforded it without you! Thank you so much, from myself and Honey!" -Jacob Britton
